Based from two different locations in Uganda ‘The Pearl of Africa,’ this trip takes in vital conservation initiatives and community activities. Working in partnership with the only safe haven for white rhino the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, students will learn about wildlife conservation from the very people engaged in the daily battle for their survival.

No visit to Uganda is complete without journeying along the longest river in Africa, the Nile, and its source, Lake Victoria. This trip facilitates positive learning outcomes and encourages students to take on new callenges and reflect on their own personal achievements.

day 01

Arrive Entebbe

Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, receive welcoming and orientation.

day 02 - 05

Rhino conservation and environmental project work

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is currently home to 12 Southern White Rhino’s. However, Ziwa is not only home to these magnificent animals, but much, much more. The wildlife on the reserve is amazing, ranging from Bush Buck, Oribi, Water Buck, Grey Duiker and Reed Buck to Leopard, Aardvark, Warthog and Crocodile. The birdlife on the Sanctuary has been said to be one of the best in all of Uganda, with many endemic species making this safe haven their home.

day 06

Transfer from Ziwa to Red Chilli Rest Camp

Transfer to Red Chilli Rest Camp on the banks of the River Nile for some rest and relaxation.

day 07

Safari, Murchison Falls National Park

Depart for an early morning game drive around the Nile Delta. Return to the Rest Camp for lunch. Depart on Falls Cruise to Murchison Falls for more scenic wildlife viewing. Hike up the Top of the Falls. Return to the Rest Camp by minibus for another relaxing evening.

Transfer to Airport & depart

Depart from Murchison Falls National Park to Entebbe Airport and depart.
