day 01
Arrive
One of our in-country team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Camp Tsavo. The drive is through local communities and you’ll get your first taste of Africa with views of breathtaking scenery. Once you’ve arrived, unpack and settle into your accommodation before meeting your Kenyan family for the next few days including the legend that is Sammy K and local hero Mama Mercy.
day 02
Sports brief, school orientation & Swahili lessons
This morning will be spent visiting the school for a formal introduction to school students you will be spending time with. After lunch you will start working on the school facilities; clearing and marking the field, painting the goal posts in preparation for coaching.
day 03 - 05
Sports Development Project
The next three days will be spent with the students, selecting players from different classes to several teams. Only then does coaching kick off for either football, netball, athletics and hockey.
day 06
Inter-classes Sports Festival
Today, you will need to organise and run the sports festival. It will be a stiff competition between the teams you’ve been coaching and at the end the winning team will stand out to represent the school in any other inter-school sports events in the county thereafter.
day 07
Game Safari in Rukinga Sanctuary
Rukinga Sanctuary is one of the wildlife corridors linking the famous Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. It covers 80,000 acres and is dominated by acacia woodland which is a haven for a variety of wildlife species e.g. elephant, buffalo, giraffe, antelope and cheetahs, as well as more than 50 bird species. The day is crowned with watching the sun go down ‘Sundowners’ from the ‘Pride Rock’.

Transfer to Airport & Depart
Say Kwaheri (goodbye) and transfer to Mombasa International Airport for your flight back to Dubai.
