Embark upon an amazing journey of adventure and adrenaline canyoning, caving, trekking and climbing your way around Oman’s most famous adventure hotspots. Combined with discovering the rich culture of the mountains of Oman, this is the adventure of a lifetime! Not only will you go home having experienced incredible adventures, you are sure to improve your leadership and resilience along the way!

This adventure is most suitable for students aged 14+, but all our itineraries can be amended depending on the age / experience levels of your specific group. Alternatives to camping are available for students who will get more out of the experience with more of the comforts of home.

Day to Day

Day 01

Arrival: Riyam Walk & Muttrah

Check into your hotel and freshen up before heading to Muttrah to take on you first challenge of the trip: The Riyam Walk. Trek through the mountains the remains of an old village and finish in the souq and old town of Muttrah.

Day 02

Snorkelling & Dolphin Watching: Bandar Khyran

Travel by boat to Bandar Khyran Marine Reserve. Snorkel and relax in the crystal clear waters over pristine coral reef.

Day 03

Grand Mosque & travel to Wadi Bani Auf

Learn about the culture and religion of Oman by visiting the most important mosque in the Sultanate. Travel in a convoy of 4X4s to Wadi Bani Auf (2.5 hours); a spectacular drive to a spectacular location!

Day 04

Snake Canyon 1.0

Get an early start to do the famous Snake Canyon; an entry level canyoning trip where you will boulder and scramble and swim for 3km beneath the spectacular 100m high limestone walls.

Day 05

Bilad Sayt

Take a short trek through a narrow gorgette to discover the hidden village of Bilad Sayt. Explore the falaj irrigation system on a tour around the terraces, and then have lunch with a local family. Drive to Jebel Shams Resorts, situated at 2,000m (2.5 hours)

Day 06

Balcony Walk

Learn about the fascinating geology of Oman on a trek overlooking the Grand Canyon of Oman. Explore an abandoned village and, if you've got the energy, find the hidden freshwater pool!

Day 07

Abseil & via ferrata

Get out of your comfort zone on a 40m free-hanging abseil against the backdrop of the 1,000m deep Wadi Ghul. Climb the steel cable of the via ferrata line to get back to the top of the wadi.

Day 08

Nizwa and departure!

Pack up camp and return to Muscat, with a stop off at the historical town of Nizwa to check out the souq and the fort, before having lunch and heading to Muscat International Airport.
