Day to Day
day 01
Arrive / Lanna Amazing Race
Arrive at Chiang Mai airport, the group will meet with our local guide and transfer for 1 hour to the accommodation. The group will have an orientation and welcome lunch on arrival. As a unique introduction to Chiang Mai City and Thai culture students will take part in the Lanna Kingdom Amazing Race. Students will be put into teams and be able to race from the various checkpoints around the Old City, seeing the sights and answering questions about the history of the city. Later the group will set up camp and sample some of the amazing cuisine Thailand has to offer. After evening activities there will be a campfire for the team to enjoy and reflect on the first day.
day 02
Sustainable Farming Project
After breakfast the team will have a short drive to Pun Pun Farm. The farm focuses on sustainable farming and food systems and the impact it has on the Chiang Mai community. You will be really hands on with experiential work which will include planting, harvesting and natural building. The group will then transfer to their accommodation and enjoy a well-earned evening meal. There will be a campfire for the team to gather around and reflect on their day.
day 03 - 04
Elephant Nature Park
The next two days will be spent at the Elephant Nature Park that is home to many old and mistreated animals. Students will learn about the conservation and rehabilitation that happens here and why it is os important as well as the personal stories of the rescued elephants. They will get involved with many of the daily activities including food preparation, cleaning and bathing. The evenings will be spent in a beautiful eco lodge.
day 05
River Kayaking
Today the group will transfer to Mae Ngad Dam for a fun filled kayaking session on the reservoir. They will follow a guide and explore many canals and dense parts of the jungle. There will be some free time in the afternoon to take in the breathtaking scenery of the pristine forest of the National Park.
day 06
Mae Tang Valley Trek & Floating Village
This morning the group will be given instructions on how to use a compass and a route card, in preparation for a day of adventurous trekking in the picturesque Mae Tang district. Each student will navigate the valley to different points of interest, under the guidance of a leader. After enjoying a picnic for lunch, the students will then transfer to the very unique Floating Village for their last evening in Thailand. They will stay in houses that float on barrels at the edge of a reservoir - this is not on the typical tourist trail and is an unforgettable experience.
day 07
Departure
This morning, enjoy a final breakfast while taking in the stunning surroundings of Mae Gnat Floating Cottages before transferring to the airport for the flight back to Dubai.
